It's either a halo or a moon. I keep thinking of Lady and the Tramp when I look at this little dog. All he'd need is some spaghetti hanging from his mouth. And, of course, no collar.

A wonderful painting and my smile for the evening. Thanks!
Sue,
This dog is riding the Moon Beam to the canvas.
Great painting,with a happy brush,
Pete
Stunning paintings, I love this little dog and the little girls. They are such happy pictures and you have captured that in every one. Superb.
The dog owner is gonna love it! He looks so pleasant and satisfied! I can see that spaghetti now! I will miss you again on Tuesday, we will be on the road again.
Hi Susan,
This is a very special portrait! How amazing that he has one ear that stands up, just perfect to break the line of the moon/halo shape. SO CUTE!
Oh, Susan. I just noticed another amazing design element...you repeated the moon shape and color with the brass ID. tag! Maybe a happy accident..maybe not! Super
Outstanding!
He looks like a smart little guy - I love the ear and the moon/halo. Great job, Susan!
I like this - cute dog. The owners will love it!
Love this painting. Is it a Jack Russel. In which case it won't be
still for long. A superb painting.

I love this little dog! If he were up for adoption, I'd take him in a second. The owner will love this, I'm sure. What a personality, and you have caught it.
Hi Susan, I have given you an award on my blog, because you are a megasupastar!
I love the dog with his moon/halo! He has a wonderful old fashioned quality to him also. Like he should be on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post.
Wonderful painting. I see him (or her)as Saint Doggie of the Full Moon. I really enjoy the tie in of the round gold tag hanging from the collar and the halo of the golden moon. Happy Thanksgiving Susan!
Love the dog. And the little girls. Really terrific paintings.
Nice work on the angelic dog, with his halo!
Just wanted to say how much I admire your portraits.
Thank you, Everyone! I'm glad you liked this little guy as much as I did. I hope the painting makes the dog's owner happy, too.
Beautiful dog portrait.
