Another Cowboy- "When She Walked In" 6"x6"

Well, I had just enough time to try to paint another from the cowboy photos.
This one was just as fun. And the benefit to painting a character... if you paint his face a wee bit longer than it is... who cares? Kind of added to the character, I think.
Ok, it's ten minutes past closing time... guess I'd better close....

Two portraits in one day your brush must have been smokin! I love the looseness of your brushstrokes and all the different colours you have used for the flesh tones hmmm now if I could just get that loose ...

You're portrait work is just wonderful..... brush strokes just sing! Didn't you just love watching C.Michael Dudash demo? I took a couple of workshop with him last year and he's a wonderful teacher.

Thank you, Diana and Mary! Diana, I'm finding that painting small with a ridiculously large brush is forcing some looseness. Mary, I didn't take his workshop, but enjoyed watching him paint. I'll bet he was great to learn from. What did you come away from his workshop with most?
