Hi Susan,
Cool painting and done in 30 minutes! He's got to be playing jazz. Did my eyes deceive me or was your gesso board attached to a backboard with masking tape? Looks like a good idea, I might try to rig up something like that to paint on as it gives you somewhere to rest your hand on. I also thought you had a nifty photo holder.
