Kitty Face 6" x 6" oil on Gessobord

I just played today. Made a mess of a cowboy painting (which I'm not showing) and enjoyed painting another kitty face. I managed somehow to break the tip off my palette knife, so I need to go shopping tonight to be ready for Sunday.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

I turn my back for one day and you go having a big birthday and doing two beautiful paintings of kitties. These cat paintings, both of them have a life in them to be envied by many an critter painting.

And belated happy birthday. I know all those who know you would join me in saying we're so glad you were born.

Happy birthday, Susan! I love the brushstrokes on your kitty paintings, they look like what I'm trying to achieve. This little guy is a twin for my Cooper. And he looks like he's looking out the window at a bird.

Happy Birthday, lady! Enjoy your day

I love this painting of the kitty ~ if he was gray instead of orange he'd be a twin for MY Cooper (hey, Deborah)! Beautiful...chocolate Kahlua cake? you know how to LIVE!!

Hi Ya'll! Today's my birthday- July 26th- so Dianne, there's nothing belated about your greeting, and THANK YOU! Regina, to "paint" the whiskers, I just scraped through the wet paint down to the white surface with something sharp. On these two I used the blade of a palette knife, but I've used a curtain hook and an ice pick before, too. It's a fun, final flourish! Deborah and Johnnie both have cats named Cooper- cool. I've never painted my own kitties, Joel and Millie. Guess I oughta!

Susan, I love the kitty. Is this a palette knife painting? Boy, did you capture the life in the eyes! And yes! You should paint your own kitties!
