Painting & reference from Sunday's online session

Baby In Leaves, 8"x10" oil on canvas panel.
Barbara Pask has me pegged. I did paint another hour and a half on this painting beyond the two hour session of the online show. I couldn't help it. No, really.
I have a great frame picked out for this one. Very wide gold leaf. Can't wait for this to dry and be varnished so I can see it in its new clothes. If you want to see the first two hours of this painting, you can go here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/susancarlin
I'm going to switch my day to paint online from Sunday afternoons to Tuesday evenings. I want a full day to spend with my family and this change will allow that. If you want a "heads up" when I'll be painting, you can add your email address to the top box in my sidebar. It's always fun to chat with the other artists who drop in. Please join us!
We're headed up to the Kimball Art Museum in Fort Worth next Saturday in case you can join us there to see the Impressionist exhibit on loan from the Art Institute of Chicago. Let me know you'll be there and we'll figure out how to meet up!

I came across your entry to Karin Jurick's different strokes blog and decided to stay a while, looking at your portraits and other paintings. I just watched bits of your online painting sessions- some from this painting and some from the girl with the red flower. I'm very impressed and inspired! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent online. I will check back often to see your new pieces!

Susan, this baby is so sweet! You captured the look and the expression. And, the colors are so nice! I got to watch part of your session this afternoon and I enjoyed it, as usual.

And, I love the cat and the cow!

We're going to the Kimbell on Thursday.

I knew you would play with it some more, lol. You have to back up get a good look and then adjust, I know. This is just precious and looked fun to paint.

Hi Susan, I loved your cow paiting on Karin Juricks site so came on over to see your other work. This painting of the baby is beautiful and I've enjoyed looking around your blog and your website at your work. And your videos are great, thank you for sharing your work and process. I have you on my 'favorites' so I will be checking in regularly.
