Artist of the Month

Been working on Caldo today. Really. In between patients. This is the photo Louis Mar took at Coppini on Sunday of Morning Flight (and me). At least the only glare is on my glasses, not the painting.

Bonnie Raitt gets to see me tonight. I'll bet she's excited! I know I am.

how odd... I thought I left a comment yesterday...

Anyway, are you trying a new format with your framing? I've never seen you add a white mat - you usually put them directly against the glass don't you?

Hi Brendy! You're right. I had to get very clever with this frame. The image seemed to need some room around it before being enclosed by a frame, but as you know, I don't use a mat. So I framed it like I usually do- against the non-glare glass- in a white wood frame and then fit the white frame inside the dark frame. Took some engineering to cobble the two frames together, but I like the results. You're very, very observant, my dear!

Congratulations on your Coppini AOM award!!! My NBAL AOM comes down next week (sigh) and then I'm heading to Austin the next week (March 11-12) for the FACET show. Are you going?
