Hope- nearing completion

Hope, oil, 20"x16"
I got to work on this most of the day today, much of that time during an impromptu broadcast where I was kept good company. Thanks, Ya'll. Days just don't get better than this one.
I'm not done- I need to look at it a while - but I like where this is going.

Love it! So beautiful - got to the broadcast just in time to see you say good bye! Going right now to see if it's recorded. Hope so! Awesome!

Stunning! Just hate that I've missed 2 of your ustreams now. Would have loved to watch you paint on this gorgeous portrait. I'm loving what you've done with the mottled background, the golds in the background behind her hair and the detailing of her gorgeous face. The background colors look great with her tattoo. Her eyes are luminous...really beautiful. I'll be on my toes and try to catch your next broadcast.

I really enjoyed watching you paint this beautiful portrait yesterday afternoon. And it was good to finally figure out how to talk to you and fellow painters on Ustream!

She's lovely, Susan. You are right--she's not sad at all. Triumphant, really.

Susan, this one is turning out very nice. I like that her tatooed area shows the shine from the light on her skin. I see so many emotions in her demeanor. Sorry I missed last night.

I can't imagine how you could improve this portrait, but then what do I know! I love the look she has on her face she shows strength and inner beauty and the background accentuates that. Wonderful portrait.
